Privacy Policy

The 1499 Edit is a small independent publication. This page explains what happens to your data when you visit this site or use anything we run. Short version: we don't collect it.

What we collect on this site

Nothing personal. This site is static — there are no accounts, no logins, no forms, no newsletter signup and no analytics or advertising trackers of our own. We do not set cookies.

Our host, Cloudflare Pages, records standard server request logs (IP address, browser user agent, requested page, timestamp) for delivery and abuse prevention. Those logs belong to Cloudflare and are handled under their privacy policy. We do not read, export or link them to anyone's identity.

Links to other companies

Product links here and on our channels are affiliate links to stores such as Amazon and EarnKaro partners. When you follow one you leave this site, and that store's own cookies, tracking and privacy policy apply — including the tag that tells them the visit came from us. We receive only aggregate commission reports: totals and item names, never your name, address, payment details or order contents. See our Disclosure page for how the affiliate relationship works.

The same applies to Instagram, Telegram and any other platform we link to. We can see whatever those platforms show any account holder — public profiles, comments, messages you send us — and nothing more.

If you message us

Messages you send on Instagram or Telegram sit in those platforms' inboxes. We use them to answer you and for nothing else. We do not build mailing lists from them, and we do not sell, rent or share contact details with anyone.

Our internal tools

We run our own software to publish and schedule content to accounts we own, including YouTube channels operated by us. Those tools authenticate as the account owner, act only on our own channels, and read no data belonging to viewers or any other user. They are used by the site's operator alone and are not offered to the public.

Children

This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update this page. There is no mailing list to notify, which is rather the point.
